COSPLAY COMPETITION RULES

 

  • No unfair means will be entertained. If found guilty, they will be disqualified from the competition.

  • Participants must maintain discipline throughout the competition.

  • Participants must come prepared with a proper cosplay costume.(like only wearing a hat or cloak will not fall on the proper cosplay) Costumes should represent a recognizable character from a relevant genre e.g.- anime, manga, comic, video game, film, etc. 

  • No sharp objects or props will be allowed.

  • Cosplay costumes shall be family-friendly and avoid nudity and suggestive themes

  • Performances can be done as a DUO but they both will be judged individually. 


 

Judgement Criteria

• Originality in crafting their costumes

• Accuracy of the character(Loyalty to the character)

• Performance

(If any way we find anyone not following these rules, the organizing committee will have all the rights to take legal action)

Costume Policy: All costumes must be appropriate for a family-friendly environment and should not include nudity, overly revealing outfits, or offensive content.

 Props Policy: Props and weapons must be safe, non-functional, and conform to event guidelines regarding size, materials, and peace-bonding requirements.

 Behavior Guidelines: Respectful behavior towards other participants, event staff, and attendees is expected at all times. Harassment, bullying, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.

Photography and Consent: Always ask for permission before taking photos of or with other cosplayers. Respect their right to decline or set boundaries.

Safety Regulations: Follow all safety regulations and guidelines provided by event staff, including rules on fire hazards, tripping hazards, and emergency procedures.

 Hygiene and Health: Maintain personal hygiene and cleanliness, especially in shared spaces such as changing rooms or cosplay repair areas.

 Alcohol and Drug Policy: Consumption of alcohol or drugs is prohibited during the event, especially if it is held in a venue that serves alcohol.

 Cosplay is Not Consent: Remember that cosplay does not imply consent for physical contact or harassment. Always ask for consent before initiating any physical interaction.

 Code of Conduct: Adhere to the event's code of conduct, which outlines expected behavior and consequences for violations, including a zero-tolerance policy for harassment or discrimination.
